Step 1 - Navigate to Payslip Settings
Log in to Asanify as an Admin.
From the left navigation bar, click on Payslip. This opens the Payslip module.
At the top of the page, click on the Regular Settings tab.
Note: The Regular Settings tab is only visible to admins. HR users do not have access to this section.
Step 2 - Open the Payslip Generation Section
On the Regular Settings page, locate the Payslip Generation card.
You will see the question: "Do you want to automatically generate the payslip when a payroll is marked paid?"
The current value (Yes or No) is displayed next to the question.
Step 3 - Edit the Setting
Click the Edit button (pencil icon) at the top-right of the Payslip Generation card to enter edit mode.
A toggle switch labelled Yes / No will appear next to the question.
Toggle it to Yes to enable automatic payslip generation. Payslips will be created automatically each time a payroll is confirmed and marked as paid.
Toggle it to No to disable automatic payslip generation. Payslips will not be created automatically; you will need to generate them manually from the Past Payruns screen.
Step 4 - Save Your Changes
Once you have set the toggle to your desired value, click Update to save the setting.
A confirmation message β "Settings updated successfully!" β will appear at the bottom of the screen.
To discard your changes without saving, click Cancel instead.
Additional Information
What happens when automatic payslip generation is disabled?
If you disable automatic payslip generation, payslips will not be created when you confirm payroll. You can still generate payslips manually at any time by navigating to Payroll > Payruns, selecting the relevant payrun, and clicking Generate Payslip. You can also download payslips in bulk for a month once they have been generated.
Customising the information shown on payslips
This setting only controls when payslips are generated. To control what appears on your payslips β such as bank details, attendance summary, PAN, UAN, or Asanify branding β visit the payslip customisation settings in the same Regular Settings page.
Changes apply to future payslips only
Any change to the automatic payslip generation setting applies only to future payrolls. It does not retroactively affect payslips that have already been generated for past payruns.
