As an admin, how do I view and download Investment Declarations in Asanify

Step 1 - Navigate to Payroll Analytics

Login to Asanify as an Admin. Click on Analytics in the left navigation pane, then click on the Payroll tab.

Note: This report is accessible to Admin users only.


Step 2 - Open the Investment Declarations Report

In the Payroll analytics section, click on the Download Investment Declarations card (described as "Downloadable Form 24Q Details"). This will navigate you to the Investment Declarations Report page.


Step 3 - Select Your Entity

On the report page, use the Entity Selector at the top to choose the company entity for which you want to generate the report. The Download button will remain disabled until an entity is selected.


Step 4 - Configure Filters

Click on the filters panel to configure your report criteria:

  • Financial Year (compulsory): Select the financial year for which you want to download declarations. The current financial year is selected by default.

  • Person Status: Choose from Active, Resigned, or both. By default, both Active and Resigned employees are included.

  • Employment Type: Select Employee, Contractor, or both. By default, both are included.

You can also apply additional optional filters such as:

  • Employee (filter by specific Employee ID)

  • Designation

  • Department

Note: Ensure that payroll has been run for the selected financial year before downloading this report, as the data is derived from processed payroll records.


Step 5 - Download the Report

Once you have selected your entity and configured the filters, click the Download button. The system will generate and download an Excel file named Investments_Declarations_{Financial_Year}.xlsx to your device.


Step 6 - View the Downloaded Excel Report

Open the downloaded Excel file. The report contains three sections:

1. Salary Detail Record
A per-employee salary summary with Form 24Q columns, including:

  • Employee ID, Employee PAN, Name of Employee

  • Category of Employee, Period of Employment (From / To)

  • Total Salary Amount, Tax Regime (Old / New)

  • Gross Total Income, Total Taxable Income

  • Income Tax on Total Income, Surcharge, Education Cess, Net Tax Payable, TDS for the year

  • Gross Salary (Sec 17(1)), Perquisites (Sec 17(2))

  • HRA Exemption (Sec 10(13A)), Travel Concession (Sec 10(5)), Gratuity (Sec 10(10))

  • Other Section 10 exemptions and rebates

  • Whether opting for the New Tax Regime (Sec 115BAC)

2. Section 16 Record
Deductions under Section 16 per employee, including:

  • Employee ID, Name of Employee

  • Section 16 Section ID, Total Deduction under Section 16

3. Section 6A Record (Chapter VI-A)
Chapter VI-A investment deduction details per employee, covering sections such as 80C, 80D, 80E, 80CCD(1B), 80CCD(2), 80G, 80EEA, 80DDB, 80EE, 80U, 80EEB, 80TTA, and 80TTB, including:

  • Employee ID, Name of Employee

  • Chapter VI-A Section ID

  • Total Deductible Amount, Total Gross Amount, Total Qualifying Amount

Prerequisites

  • You must have Admin access to view this report.

  • Payroll must have been processed for the relevant financial year. Refer to how to run payroll if needed.

About Form 24Q

The data in this report aligns with the information required for Form 24Q, which is the quarterly TDS return filed by employers with the Income Tax Department. The report covers Q4 (full-year) investment declaration data to support your annual TDS filing obligations.

File Format

The report is downloaded as an .xlsx (Excel) file. There is no in-browser table view β€” the data is available exclusively through the downloaded file.
