A geofencing policy is a type of policy that you may use if you require your employees to be present within a certain radius during their work hours.

After you set the radius for a geofencing policy, the employees that you assign to the policy will only be able to clock in/out (marked present) if they are within the radius defined by you.

You may check out the video below on how you may create a geofence policy.

Here is a step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Go to the Geofencing page.

Step 2: Enter the Geofencing policy details.

Step 3: Enter the radius and create your geofencing policy.

Step 1: Go to the Geofencing page.

  • Go to the Attendance tab in the left navigation bar -> Click on Geofencing -> Click on the Create Policy Now button to create a new geofencing policy.

Step 2: Enter the Geofencing policy details.

  • Enter a Name and Description for your geofencing policy. The policy name would be visible to admins only and the description would be visible to the employees who are actively enrolled in the policy.

  • Choose a Work address for the geofencing policy. You may choose which employees you wish to assign to the geofencing policy after you create the policy.

  • Click on the Next button at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: Enter the radius and create your geofencing policy.

  • Enter the Geofence Radius that you require for your geofencing policy.

  • You may edit the work address that is selected in the previous step by clicking on the Edit GPS button. After you click on the Edit GPS button the image shown below would appear. You may edit the address and then click on the Update Address button.

  • Click on the Next button.

  • You may view the Summary of your geofencing policy on this page -> Click on the Create button.
