After you create your geofencing policy, you may assign it to your employees. You may refer to the steps on how to create a geofencing policy by clicking here.

Here is a step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Go to the Geofencing page.

Step 2: Select the employees that you wish to assign to the geofencing policy.

Step 1: Go to the Geofencing page.

  • Go to the Attendance tab in the left navigation bar -> Click on the Geofencing option. All the geofencing policies that you have created would be visible here.

  • If you wish to mark a policy as active/inactive, you may refer to the steps on how to mark a policy as active/inactive by clicking here.

  • Go to the policy that you wish to assign to the employees -> Click on the Assign Policy button next to the name of the policy.

Step 2: Select the employees that you wish to assign to the geofencing policy.

  • You may select which employees you wish to assign the policy by clicking on the names of those employees.

  • After you select the employees you wish to assign to the policy, you may click on the Assign button to assign those employees to the geofencing policy.

  • After you assign your employees to a geofencing policy you may view your assigned employees. Go to the Attendance tab in the left navigation bar -> Click on the Geofencing option -> Click on the View/Edit option of the policy to view the assigned employees.

  • If an employee is outside the defined radius, then they will receive an Invalid Clock-in/out error whenever they attempt to clock-in/out. The error message will specify how far off they are from their geofence area. It will also specify the radius they are expected to be within for them to successfully clock-in/out. The image below displays the error message that an employee would receive if they are not within the radius defined by you.

  • IMPORTANT: To accurately capture your employees' location, your employees would need to enable location tracking. Kindly refer to the steps on how an employee can enable location tracking by clicking here.
