Step 1 - Navigate to the People Salary Master Report
Login to Asanify as an Admin. From the left navigation pane, click on Analytics to expand the section. Then click on the People tab.
You will see the People Analytics section, which lists three available reports:
Employee Master – Core employee information (excluding salary details)
People Salary Master – Detailed salary and compensation information
Demographics – Department-wise gender distribution
Click on People Salary Master to open the report.
Step 2 - Apply Filters (Optional)
Before loading the report, you can narrow down the results using the available filters:
Person Status – Filter by employee status: Active, Resigned, Onboarding, or Offboarded. By default, Active and Resigned employees are included.
Employment Type – Filter by Employee or Contractor. Both are included by default.
Department – Filter by one or more departments.
Designation – Filter by specific designations.
Click on the filter chips or the Filters panel to add or modify filters as needed.
Step 3 - Toggle "Show Latest Salaries" (Optional)
By default, the report may show all salary records for each employee (including historical salary revisions).
If you only want to see the current (latest) salary for each employee, toggle the Show latest salaries switch to Yes. This will return only the most recent salary record per employee as of today's date.
Leave the toggle set to No if you want to view all salary revision history.
Step 4 - Load the Report
Once you have set your filters and preferences, click the Load Report / Charts button. The report will load and display a table with all matching employees and their salary details.
The report includes the following key columns by default:
Employee ID, Full Name, Designation, Department, Gender, Status
Date of Joining, Timezone, Employment Type, Work Address
Manager details, Payment Frequency, Currency
Effective From, Payout From
Compliance flags: PF, PT, ESI, LWF
Salary components: CTC, Basic, HRA, Special Allowance, Bonus, LTA, EPF Employer, EPS Employer, Telephone Reimbursements, Commission
Custom earnings, deductions, reimbursements, and retiral components
Age and Tenure
Step 5 - Search and Configure Columns (Optional)
You can use the Search bar within the report table to filter results by any text value (e.g., employee name, department).
To customise which columns appear in the report, click the Column Configuration icon. You can select or deselect columns to match your specific needs. Your configuration is saved for future sessions.
Step 6 - Explore Charts (Optional)
Below the report table, you can explore salary-based visualisations. Available chart types include:
Histograms and box plots for salary distribution
Pie charts for employment type or department breakdowns
Heatmaps and scatter plots for salary analytics
Select the chart type you want to view and click to generate the visualisation.
Step 7 - Export the Report
To download the report for offline use, click the Export CSV button. This will download the visible data as a CSV file named People_salary_master.
You can then open this file in Excel or any spreadsheet application for further analysis.
Note: The export includes all columns currently visible in the table. Ensure your column configuration is set correctly before exporting.
Additional Information
Who can access this report?
Only users with the Admin role can access the People Salary Master Report. Users with the HR Admin role do not have access to this report, as it contains sensitive compensation data.
Salary data is cached for performance
The report data is cached for up to 24 hours to ensure fast load times. If you have recently updated salary information and do not see the latest data, try refreshing the page or checking back after some time. Salary cache is automatically cleared whenever salaries are updated.
Running payroll after reviewing salaries
Once you have reviewed the salary data in this report, you may want to run payroll for your employees to process the monthly compensation based on the salary master.
Salary Master vs. Employee Master
The People Salary Master report focuses on compensation data. If you need to view core employee information without salary details (such as PAN, contact information, emergency contacts, or bank details), use the Employee Master report available in the same People Analytics section.
