As an admin, how do I run payroll for my employees in Asanify?

In this article, we will go through the steps on how to run payroll in Asanify.

In this article, we will go through the steps on how an admin can run payrolls for their company and find out how much each employee takes home. The admin may also view how much the company is paying all the employees.

You may also pay your employees through Asanify itself.

You may view the process of running payroll by watching this video on Payroll Execution on Asanify or simply follow the detailed steps given below.

Here is a step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Select the period and Run payroll

  • Click on the Payroll tab from the left navigation bar -> Click on the Run payroll option.

  • Choose the month for which you want to run payroll -> Click on the Run button.

  • The Upload CSV button may be used for uploading a file with the payroll inputs (LOP days, Bonus, Commission, etc.) for the selected month. You may use this option instead of entering all the inputs on this page itself. If you do not wish to use this option simply enter the inputs on this page.

  • The Sync LOP days button allows you to select the period for which you wish to sync LOP days from the leave/attendance module.

  • The Skip Payroll button allows you to skip running payroll for certain employees. If you wish to skip payroll for certain employees you may select those employees by clicking on the checkbox next to their names -> Click on Skip Payroll.

  • For each employee, you may view their Gross salary and Net salary. You may click on the View option in the Key Settings column to view the PF, ESI, PT, and Tax Regime details of that employee.

  • The Payslip Preview feature is a very useful feature if you wish to preview an employee’s payslip before you complete the payroll process. You may click on the View option in the Payslip Preview column to preview an employee’s payslip.

  • If you wish to view the detailed payroll calculations for an employee you may click on the View option in the Detailed Calculations column.

  • After you have filled in your inputs you may click on the Process inputs and Review button.

Step 2: Review the Payroll

  • On the Review page, you may view the Total Gross Salary and Net Salary.

  • If you wish to make any edits to the earnings you may click on the Edit Earnings option to go back and make your edits.

Step 3: Confirm the Payroll

  • Click on the Confirm and Generate Payslip button if you do not need to make any further changes.

  • Your employees may download their payslips from their dashboard by clicking on the Download Payslip button or by going to the Payslip tab in the left navigation bar.

  • After you have requested the creation of a virtual account, you may pay your employees by clicking on the Initiate Payout button.

  • You may view your past payruns by going to the Payroll tab in the left navigation bar -> Click on Past Payruns.
