Step 1 - Confirm you are eligible
Log in and switch to Attendance > Clock. If you act as a manager, ensure the For Me radio button is selected so you are requesting for yourself.
Look for the Request Comp Off button in the left panel. If it is missing or a banner says "No Comp Off policy is currently assigned to you", ask your admin to assign you to the relevant leave policy before proceeding.
Make sure you actually clocked time on the weekend or company holiday you are claiming. These timestamps help approvers validate the request.
Step 2 - Open the Comp Off request drawer
From Attendance > Clock, click the Request Comp Off button. A right-side drawer titled Comp Off Request opens.
The drawer shows your timezone at the top so you can double-check the time format before submitting.
If the drawer still shows the "No Comp Off policy is currently assigned..." alert, you will not be able to continue until your admin assigns the policy.
Step 3 - Select the dates you worked
Under Select dates to apply Comp Off Request, use the date selector to pick the weekend or holiday you worked. You may select a single date or a short range (up to 14 consecutive days); future dates are disabled.
The chosen dates appear in a grid under Workday Date. Remove a date by clicking the x icon beside it if you picked it by mistake.
As soon as a date is selected, Asanify pre-fills the row with your default shift timing, which you can edit in the next step.
Step 4 - Enter your actual working hours and note
Expand the date row (if it is collapsed) and update the Clock In and Clock Out fields with the actual time you worked on the non-working day. Both pickers accept 12-hour time and prevent you from choosing an end time that is earlier than the start time.
Click + Note if you want to justify why you worked (for example, "Quarter-end deployment on Sunday"). Notes are optional but recommended so approvers have context.
If you selected multiple consecutive dates, repeat the timing edits for each row so the approver knows exactly how long you worked each day.
Step 5 - Submit and track the request
Review the number of days shown on the Submit for X day(s) button, then click it to send the request. You will immediately see the toast message "Request for Compoff Balance Increase Submitted!!" if everything is valid.
The request is routed through your configured approvers. Managers will review and approve the leave application from the Leave > Requests tab.
You can revisit Leave > Requests to monitor the status (Pending, Approved, or Rejected). Once approved, the additional balance appears in your leave ledger for future use.
Additional Information
Track balances and corrections
After approval, go to Leave > Balances to verify that the Comp Off balance increased. If the balance needs a manual correction (for example, your manager wants to credit more hours), an admin can edit the leave balance for employees.
Troubleshooting
"No Comp Off policy is currently assigned..." banner: Share the policy assignment guide linked in Step 1 with your admin so they can assign you immediately.
Submit button disabled: Ensure every date row has both Clock In and Clock Out filled and that the end time is later than the start time. Invalid timings trigger the same warning at the top of the drawer.
