How do I fill and submit a review?

In this article, we will go through the steps on how an admin/employee may fill and submit a review successfully.

After the admin/HR admin has Created a review cycle and Enabled review submissions, the participants of a review cycle may begin to submit their review forms.

Here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Go to the Overview tab in the Performance Management section.

Step 2: Fill your responses in the review form.

Step 3: Submit the review form.

Step 1: Go to the Overview tab in the Performance Management section.

  • Click on the Performance dropdown in the left navigation bar -> Click on the Overview tab.

  • There are 2 sections that would be visible each has been described below.

As a reviewer: This section includes the people for whom you would have to submit a review.

Each column in the 'As a reviewer' section has been described below.

Column name

Description

Review Cycle

This column contains the names of the different review cycles.

Reviewee

The person who you will review.

Status

This column includes the steps that you have taken. There are 3 possible values that could be present in the status column.

Not Started: This means that you have not started filling out the review.

Draft: This means that you have started filling the review but have not yet submitted it.

Completed: This means that you have submitted the review.

Action

This column includes the actions that you have to take.

Your admin has the ability to start and stop accepting review submissions. You would be able to see if your admin has started or stopped review submissions in this column. Please refer to the grey text in the image provided above.

After your admin has started accepting review submissions, you would be able to see 3 options.

Start Review: You may click on Start Review to start filling out the review.

Continue: If you had previously started filling the review but did not submit it, you may click on Continue to continue filling your review.

View: After you have submitted the review you may click on the View button to view the responses you submitted.

As a reviewee: The section includes the people who will review you.

Each column in the 'As a reviewee' section has been described below.

Column name

Description

Review Cycle

This column contains the names of the different review cycles.

Reviewer

The person who will review you.

Status

This column includes the steps that your reviewer has taken. There are 3 possible values that could be present in the status column.

Not Started: This means that your reviewer has not started filling out the review.

Draft: This means that your reviewer has started filling the review but has not yet submitted it.

Completed: This means that your reviewer has submitted your review.

Action

You may or may not see a View button in this column. Some reviewees would be able to see their reviewers' responses. Please refer to the article on Visibility of reviewers' responses by clicking here. In this article, you would be able to see which reviewers' responses would be visible to which reviewees.

Step 2: Fill your responses in the review form.

  • Click on Start Review in the Action column to start filling out a review.

  • Type in your response and click on Next to move to the next question. If you click the Save and fill later button you can save your responses as a draft and your responses will not be submitted.

  • If you click on Save and fill later you can come back at any time and click on Continue in the Action column to continue from where you left.

  • After you have answered all the questions, click on View Summary.

  • You can view the summary of all your responses and if you wish to edit any response you may click on the Edit option present next to that question.

Step 3: Submit the review form.

  • At the bottom of the summary page, you may click on the Submit button to submit your responses.

  • After you submit your responses, you will notice that in the Overview tab the Status column will display Completed and the Action column will display View. You may click on View to view the responses you submitted.

  • After you click on View you will be able to view all your responses.
