How do I use filters to search for Goals?

In this article, we will go through the steps on how specific goals may be quickly searched for by using the filter functionality

You may easily search for goals by setting certain conditions.

Here is a step-by-step guide.

Step 1: Go to the Goals and OKRs tab.

Step 2: Sort the goals.

Step 3: Apply filters.

Step 1: Go to the Goals and OKRs tab.

  • Click on the Goals and OKRs option in the left navigation bar.

  • You may use filters in the My Goals tab or the All Goals tab.

Step 2: Sort the goals.

  • You may sort your goals by using the Sort By option.

  • You may sort your goals in ascending or descending order of the goal Name, Goal Created Date, and Goal Progress.

Sort by options

What it means

Name

You may sort your goals in ascending or descending alphabetical order based on the name of the goal.

Created Date

You may sort your goals in ascending or descending order based on the date you created the goal.

Progress

You may sort your goals in ascending or descending order based on the progress achieved to date.

  • You may click on the blue arrow next to the Sort By option to sort in ascending or descending order.

  • If you click on ↓ then your goals will be sorted in descending order.

  • If you click on ↑ then your goals will be sorted in ascending order.

Step 3: Apply filters.

  • You may filter your goals based on the type of goal that you have created and the Department for which the goal was created.

Goal Type options

What it means

Company

Filter Goals that are applicable at a company level.

Departmental

Filter Goals that are applicable at a Departmental level.

Team

Filter Goals that are applicable at a Team level.

Individual

Filter Goals that are applicable at an individual level.

  • For E.g., If I select the Company option then only the Company level goals will be visible.

  • If you wish to remove a filter simply click on the βœ– icon present next to the filter option. You may also use the Reset Filters option to remove the filters.

  • You may also filter your goals based on the Department for which the goal was created.

We also have advanced filtering options.

  • Click on the View button present below All Filters. You will be able to view all the filters that you have applied.

  • You may search for your goals based on any conditions that you configure.

  • You may search for OKRs where All the conditions that you mention are met or At least one of the conditions that you mention are met.

  • You may select or type a value.

Filter options available

What it means

Goal Type

You may filter your Goal based on whether the goal type is Company, Departmental, Team, or Individual.

Department

Department type could be any department that you have created.

Completion Date

This is the date by which you wish to complete the goal.

Starting Date

This is the date when you started working towards the goal.

Created By

You may filter the goals which were created by a certain person.

  • For e.g., You may select Goal Type. You will need to select an operator from the dropdown. In this example, I am using equal to as the operator.

  • Then you will need to select what you want your Goal Type to be equal to.

  • In this example, I have selected Company as the Goal type.

  • Click on the Add Condition button.

  • If I want to only view goals whose starting date is on and after the 1st of June 2022 then you may configure it using the Starting Date filter.

  • You would need to add the date in the format: YYYY-MM-DD.

  • Click on Apply Filters and you will be able to view the goals that meet these conditions.
