Step 1 - Navigate to Attendance Clock

Login to Asanify as an Admin.

Click on the Attendance tab in the left navigation pane.

From the Attendance dropdown menu, select Clock.

Step 2 - Select Employee and Date Range

In the Search Employee field at the top of the page, search for and select the employee whose clock-in sources you want to view.

Select the month and year for which you want to view the attendance data using the calendar icon.

Click the Load button to display the attendance calendar for the selected employee and time period.

Step 3 - View Clock-In Sources on Calendar

Once the calendar loads, you will see the employee's attendance data displayed in a monthly calendar view.

Each clock-in and clock-out event is shown on the calendar with color-coded indicators:

  • Valid clocks appear in standard colors

  • Invalid clocks appear in grey (you can toggle Show invalid clocks to view them)

Click on any clock-in or clock-out event on the calendar to view its details.

Step 4 - View Source Information in Event Details

When you click on a clock event, a popup modal will appear showing the event details.

In the event details popup, you will see a Source section that displays an icon representing the clock-in source.

Hover over the source icon to see the full source name. The available sources include:

  • Web - Clock-in via Asanify web application (desktop browser)

  • Mobile App - Clock-in via Asanify mobile application

  • Biometric - Clock-in via biometric device integration

  • WhatsApp - Clock-in via Asanify WhatsApp bot

  • Slack - Clock-in via Asanify Slack bot

  • Bulk Upload - Attendance uploaded by admin in bulk

Each source is represented by a distinct icon for easy identification.

Additional Information

Understanding Valid Clock-In Sources

The clock-in sources available to employees are determined by the attendance policy assigned to them. Admins configure which sources are valid when creating or editing attendance policies.

If an employee attempts to clock in from a source that is not enabled in their policy, the clock will be marked as invalid with a reason explaining the source restriction.

Viewing Invalid Clocks

To view clocks that were marked as invalid (including those from unauthorized sources), toggle the Show invalid clocks option to Yes on the Clock page. Invalid clocks will appear in grey on the calendar. You can learn more about viewing and managing invalid clocks.

Viewing Attendance Hours

If you want to see the total hours worked by employees rather than individual clock events, navigate to the Hours tab under Attendance. This provides a summary view of hours worked for the selected date range.

Viewing Selfie Attendance

If selfie attendance is enabled in the attendance policy, you will also see the selfie photo captured during clock-in/clock-out in the event details popup, along with the source information.

Note: The clock-in source information is automatically captured for every attendance event and cannot be modified after the fact. This ensures accurate tracking of how employees are marking their attendance.
